Soccer game...

If you have been reading my blog you will know I don't really mind at all bragging about my kids. I think they are wonderful! If you are tired of my bragging then you might not want to read this one. :)

I am so proud of Samuel. He really is getting to be quite the soccer star. Last year we did Y soccer and it was difficult for him. The teams were too big and the games very long and the fields were too big for a five year old. This year we decided to do UPWARD. It's been great. The teams are smaller (7) and they only play three on three. They get to sub every 6 minutes which really helps! Samuel really has shined this year. He is becoming very aggressive. He runs for the ball and most games scores anywhere from 6-8 goals. He is starting to understand the game and you can really tell. His ball control has really improved and his endurance as well. We couldn't be more proud of him!

Bubs is playing this year too. Last year he played for the Y also and spent most of his time on the sideline with me because he would refuse to go in. This year he has played more than last year, he has run more than last year. No goals yet and some games he prefers to play with his shirt or check out the clover patches but I am content as long as he doesn't cry and run out of the game. :)

It's been a great year of soccer...now on to baseball. :)
